i have a 96 maxima with vq35 it was running perfeclty fine then today while i was in first gear the car started jerking when i press the gas harder, any ideas ? basically if i take off slow it wont jerk if i press the gas a lil harder it will start jerking

 

stick or auto? hows the tranny fluid looking?

 

stick fluids are brand new since i just did swap

 

His maxima is swapped he did the work everything looks okay but it sounds like a fuel pump. Symtoms are power loss in lower gears almost like what a bad maf does but the maf is good. 96 maxima se 5Speed, 2003 vq35 from a maxima. The 3.0 swap was used and fuel lines are on correctly and fuel pressure regulator is set to 52psi. Anyone have any input on what it could be?

 

what about the tps? was it working fine before the swap?

 

could be a number of things...

fuel pump, TPS, MAF, Plugs

 

does it happen after a certain rpms?

 

similar issue... but mine does this from time to time if im going up a hill in second gear
