LOL sick ride you got there chief^^ Funny how you're attacking this guy for doing something to his car when you don't even have one that's drivable.

OP, if I were you I would have sprayed the parts of the tails that were already red as well to get a more even color on them. I would have left the reverse lights alone as well as it doesn't do much good to have them red but it doesn't actually look bad.

I'd say do a few more coats on the amber part as it still does have a bit of an amber hue to it. Then do some clear coat on it to give it a glossy, cleaner finish. Just my .02 though, your car so do whatever suits you. It definitely looks better without the amber.

Yeah man, you're real cool. I bet you think you're the **** because you got crazy with four loko and wrecked your car. Drinking and driving is all fun and games, right?

It's a real shame you didn't crash the car harder and take yourself out with it. People who drink and drive are the scum of the earth. Try going through losing a friend or family member to a drunk driver. I'm sure you'd be seeing that as the funny result of a "bad four loko night" too, no?

It'd be nice to see you get some vacation time from the mods for such an asinine and insensitive post.

I think you should have just kept your turn signals clear since you have the red tails imo. But it doesnt look bad for using spraying over the ambers. Anything looks better than the ambers

I was going to eventually smoke the tails as well, just a light tint. nothing close to my turn signals lol. And thanks.

Not bad! The amber turned out well. Not sure I like the back up lights though. Simply because having the white indicator is nice while backing up lol. Also, I looking at Florida law, it seems that the backup lamps must be white, or amber. Depending on the stooper troopers in your area, that may be a problem if you get pulled over. Granted, I think at worst you'll get a fix-er ticket, but it is still a hassle. I'm a firm believer in keeping my cars as plain as possible. Well, minus the exhaust note.

BTW- Dig the "eyelid" deals on your head lights!

Oh- Having done a lot of painting with rattle cans, I suggest at least four light coats of clear. More, the better though... Then level out any orange peel, or what-have-you with 1500 grit paper. Then using rubbing compound for car paint, with a clean soft rag rub the clear in a swirling motion. Do it for a while, and using a second clean rag wipe the residue off to check your progress. You don't NEED to wet sand between clear layers. The only time I do is if I have let the clear sit for over 24 hours between coats, or if there is dirt in it.

GGENIUS- Sensitive lad, aren't you? Good luck with life. Hopefully next time you do something like drinking crappy alcohol, and drive you simply put the car into a tree. I'd hate to see on the news about how a family was killed by a drunk in a maxi.

Update:

I sanded the tail lights, applied rubbing compound and polishing compound. After some elbow grease they lost their dull appearance and became shiny. Not an exact match, but no one would really notice.

Ill post pictures tomorrow

Thanks, I was with my dad last weekend with my car up on jacks and he said the same thing. More along the lines of, this car didnt look this good when it was mine. Lol.

Means alot to hear people compliment it.

As for the reverse lights, I debated it, but I think that clear/reds only look good if the whole top is clear or whole bottom depending on your year.

You arent gonna believe me but on the highway going 70. NO drone, maybe a little. But like all the drone is from 2.3-3.1k rpm. Thats its loudest, and now that its broken in its not that loud. I mean, it turns heads but its nice sounding.

I cruise on the highway every week and i mean, if you accelerate, obviously itll drone some, but its more the exhaust noise you hear. But cruising at a steady pace, its very quite.

On that note. I just dropped some cash on a CAI, should be here next week!
