I finally cleaned my throttle body

Today I finally got around to doing it. Armed with a toothbrush, some rags, a screwdriver and throttle body cleaner I set to work. The entire process took about an hour. Boy was there a lot of dirt inside the butterfly valves. The first time I did it, I didnt clean the inside of the valves... I realized that after I put everything back together I took the car out for a test drive and boy does it respond now. I must say I took out a lot of dirt from in there. 116000 miles and I think this was the first time it was cleaned too. The car shifts noticably firmer now, and the throttle response increased a lot. Now I feel the car pull harder in 1st and 2nd gears. I think its time for another drive....

Yeah, mine made a huge difference too, wonder where all that dirt comes from The blow-by bypass valve in the inake tube after the TB? I dunno, but I clean mine every 10-15K.
