rear speaker wiring
rear speaker wiring
96 w/ bose originally. Need to know about the four wire plug for the stock rear speakers. Which wires are for the signal? Checked FSM, but it is hard to tell what is what in their diagram.
The larger gauge wires are the power wires (black wire and red wire). So that leaves the smaller gauge wires as the signal ones.

at the rear speakers there is a four wire plug, they are all the same color wire on both sides, driver side has all larger wires and the passenger side are all thinner wires.
Are the signal wires all on one side?

Wait you dont have a red and black color wires, also I would check the gauge of the wires the thicker once are typically power skinnier are signal, also what color are they ?
I looked in the FSM and the wires are not all the same. Both plugs do have a red and black wire for power (red = 12 volts pin 3 and black = ground pin 1) but the signal wires are different for each side.
For the left rear speaker, the wires are red and green (pins 2 and 4 respectively) and the right side uses pink and blue (again pins 2 and 4 respectively).
I hope you can post a photo.
It seems like someone already spiced those wires can u take a picture after the electrical tape or all the wires there are black
But anyways here

Here is your connector
According to fsm
Pin 1: Ground
Pin 2: Signal +
Pin 3: Power
Pin 4: Signal -
