Metal Scraping Sound When Driving

So after beating the hell out of my max one weekend, I starting hearing a noise which sounds like something is dragging on the asphalt while I'm driving. I immediately got out and checked to see if my exhaust unbolted but there was nothing. From a couple of days of driving and hearing it, it sounds like it's coming from the engine bay. Anyone know what this could be? It's not constant though. It mostly happened tonight when I was accelerating around 35 and 40.

Check your brakes, it may be the low pad warning tab telling you something.
Also check the rotor's dust shield, make sure it's not hitting the back of the rotor.

I would def. check the dust shield. Gravel, etc. can get in there and make some noise. My car made some pretty horrible noises on occasion when I bought it. I had some friends listen as I drove by and I determined what wheel the sound was coming from. I took the tire off and bent the shroud just a little bit and haven't heard anything again for two years.

Check your splash shields up front as well.
