I bought a DEK but unfortunately it didn't come with the fuel injector harness. I have been all over this forum and I need to get my car out the shop so please do not think I didn't search first before asking
Will the 4th Gen fuel rail fit with no issues on a DEK?

 

No. dek's have their proprietary fuel rail. You need to swap in your 4th gen lim if you want to use the 4th gen fuel rail.

 

Should I be able to use the 4th LIM and fuel rail but keep the rear 5th gen valve cover?

 

You shouldn't be doing the swap in the first place because you're obviously lying about searching "all over this forum".

Dude he's not trying to be a ****.....atkeast maybe not at first but man u gotta search..u say u did...but a 00vi/ dek swap are 2 of the most popular thing to do on the 4th gen and there are tons of threads out there...go to the dek swap for dummies and read....I just completed my dek swap and it was my first swap ever and was able to do it almost completely through searching. I asked many questions..but the answers weren't as easy to find as the answer u need.

 

I know and I did search I been on that swap for dummies thread for a long time. I know questions become redundant but sheesh, this is a forum to help people. If you know the answer to a simple question why not answer it rather than reply with an irrelevant post. I am aware how ignorant some org members can be that is why I felt the need to justify myself for asking a question. This forum is great, but definitely not because of people like Shady.

 

Shady I asked a question about the rear valve cover fitment with some 4th Gen parts not your sorry a$$ opinion. Go post that on your FB status like every other poor soul looking for co-signers to their wack comments and sad P.O.V.

I know it's intimidating for you to read through 5-8 pages of 00vi journals, but you have to man up, set some time aside, and read every thread that has 00vi or DE-K/DEK in it like it's your sisters diary or homework. You cannot tell me there is a lack of information when so many people have done this swap with ease like a cook book recipe.

Like I said before, it's disrespectful for you to milk knowledge on a subject that's been posted all over the board over and over and over. It's just a case of laziness.

It's a case of urgency that I may have overlooked some fine detail, not laziness. It is crunch time and I need to get it done... I have been studying these DEK swap threads rigorously. I hope this thread get's locked up I'm tired...
