NOOB QUESTION on Catalytic Converter!!!

I am thinking about gutting my cat out temporary until i can get a high flow one. Has anyone done this? Will gutting the cat result in cel light to come on? Yes my cat has a 02 sensor on it but i was told i can put a spacer there to make the cel go away if it comes on..I know i am going to get flamed for the question but better to ask ppl who know of this rather than just doing it... FYI My long run plan is to put a high flow cat on and 2.5" exhaust all the way back to my exhaust

whats the purpose that you cant wait till you get the high flow cat?

and yes you can, may or may not get a cel...if you do then yup just get a 02 sim in there...couple different types of spacers usually they all come in a kit thing

your decision. But i dont mess with cats. In mass, its not worth the inspection headaches for such minimal gains. Get a Magnaflow high flow cat. My boy has one and it still functions as a cat. U wont need a sim i believe.
