Need help asap. Tire/Rim size

Ok, I have 96 max with sprint. I'm planning to put 17*7.5 rim.
Here's my question.
Rim currently has 2 215/45 tires on it (new), and other 2 need to be replaced. I was thinking about putting 235/45 rim in the rear and 215/45 in front. Is this gonna work?
I lowered my max without camber kit (sprint spring) and it feel ok with my current 16*7 but wonder if 17*7.5 is bit too wide.
thanks in advance.

it depends on the Off-set.................

There are people with 8.5" wide rims running 245/XX/XX tires without rubbing... There are others with even wider ones.

generally, 7.5" wide rims shouldn't have a problem. 215/ is kind of skinny for a 7" wide, but it's okay.. 235/s will fit and SHOULD NOT rub... again, the offset should be like between 36-42.

You need to get 235/45 17, now with sprints I dont think you need a camber kit, if 235 dont fit then go to a 225 as a last resort, 235/45 will smoothen the ride a bit and make your overall wheel diameter bigger vice putting more miles with a smaller tire now make a wise choice your money do as you plz.
