ebay knock sensors

Given the vast difference in the cost of a knock sensor for a 4th gen, does anyone have any pros or cons on the ones on ebay. The local Auto Zone wants about $150 with tax and the ones on ebay are about $25 with shipping or less. I put one on my 96 several years ago that I think I got off of ebay, but I am not sure. Now my ex has it down in Lower Alabama.
Comments are appreciated.

I installed an ebay knock sensor last fall on a 96 GLE and couldn't be more pleased. Can't remember the seller.

I think I got mine for around $65 on Ebay. It was an OEM knock sensor, and when it arrived it was exactly the same, packaging and all, as the stock Nissan sensor that is about $180.

I'd say get the OEM version for a few bucks more than the no-name knock sensors.

$22 shipped off ebay. My original one had 2 cracks all the way around the sensor. Can't beat the price considering the options. order it already!

getting it out is the easy part. give youself some time to figure out how to get that bolt back in...

I also did the $20 eBay sensor. It works fine. As for longevity, the cost of the eBay sensors is like much hella more cheaper; I'll happily spend fifteen minutes replacing a knock sensor every few years if it saves me a hundo or so.

yeah the first time i got on of the cheap ones 13 bux or something and it must have been my luck or something but it didnt work on arrival. so i got the oem for 30 bux and it works great. either way all it is just a resistor type device with a plastic insulator. In the future it will break, just over time. watch for this seller if you are not in a hurry, cuz he usually puts oe nissan knock sensor for 30 bux shipped which is an awesome deal.

I have two Maximas, one is 95, other 96. Did the Autozone one last year on the 96, $125. For the 95 I got one off EBAY, ABCMarts, for $21, seem the same to me, no problems from either one. I just ordered two more from them, one for a friend and one for a spare. In my opinion you cant go wrong with the Ebay one, get a spare and you are still 1/3 Autozone price
