I have removed black tape next to the door rubber boot. It looks like something is holding it in place. Anyone have experience with running wires through the door rubber boot. Thanks.

If i remember correctly you just gotta work with it a bit. i think i used a small screw driver to push it down enough to get my finger in and then yanked it all the way out, ran the wires and popped it back in. sealed it up with electrical tape and looks good as new.
