Y-Pipe Question -- Hard Idle, Is this normal?
I got a Cattman Y pipe and a RT Cat installed last Saturday and Im really happy with it-- No noise (if anything, it's quieter) and the car feels much more powerful.
I do however feel a vibration when idling and slowing to a stop. Also when I shift to reverse (I have an automatic) there is a vibration. The vibration goes away when I come to a full stop and when I hit the gas.
The only thing that I think could possibly be causing this is the pipe, right before it splits, is touching the underbody of the car. It was BARELY touching and not putting any stress at ALL on the body so I didnt want to try and bend it over a little.
Is this causing the vibration, or is this normal?

Make sure the bolts are tight. If they are loose it can cause the pipe to shake but if it is quite I doubt this. Worth a shot though.

have you reset the ECU and then given it a few days to learn the y-pipe.. you should try this if you have not already

Ive been driving with the Y Pipe for 8 days so I figured the ECU would have "learned" already.
Ill give it a shot.
