is the valet switch on the latch up or down? if it's down, push it up to take it out of valet mode. if it is already up, is the release solenoid/actuator working ( can you hear it pop when pressing the button )? if it pops, check that everything moves--linkage rods, pivots and latch.

Ya the valet switch I second that I had no idea about it, I posted on here about it and someone told me to get 4 feet worth of ratchet extensions and try and unbolt it, I finally got it figured out though. I could hold the button on my fob or the button in the cab and you could hear it click but nothing...

No no, the valet switch is on the frame part of the car, not the trunk lid.

Why not just use the car key, and use that to open the trunk, then correct the valet mode switch...?
