Headlight R34 clear plastic discoloring/cracking

Whats up peeps,

Just wondering if any of you with r34's experience the clear plastic discoloring/cracking? Is it a good idea to sand plastic? (I looked on the stickies write up on the how to's... I just want to make sure...) I have been having them for almost three years and they are starting to get worn out. Then again I live in Texas: hot weather, humidity, ozone's... Also is it possible to have both beams on? I will like to rewire to have yellow hid on the inner and blue on the outer.

Thanks for your help guys

AND WETSAND.
that's a must. get a good polishing bonnet (like the meguires plastic headlight ball) it's a sponge thing. works wonders.

there is a way to use a relay to be able to have both of your lights come on when you activate your highbeams... I am not sure how to wire it up though...

You can definitely sand them to make them clear again, there's plenty of how-to's on here for that.

But to have the highs come on with the lows, you'd have to solder a diode between those terminals.
