Ordering parts for tranny rebuild

I ordered parts to rebuild my tranny, 5spd, and i forgot to order shims. Which shims do I order? There are two types, and of those types there are many different ones to choose from. Which ones of the two types do I choose? Anyone know? The "T=" are the differences, but idk what the "T=" indicate. My Max is a 96 SE 5spd, if it matters. Here are some pics of the choices:

Do the words "solder crush method" mean anything to you?

No it doesn't, but I did just do a search for that term. I guess I should have mentioned this in the 1st post, I am not rebuilding it, a shop is. I just want to make sure the shims actually get replaced/repaired. With that said, is the "solder crush method" something they usually do, or would it just be better to buy shims? It seems like that method leaves alot of room for error.

Edit: So I think i've figured out what the "T=" is, it's the shim size. So im guessing this is something they will have to order themselves when they rebuild it, since they have to measure the bearing preload correct?

Right. Because the manufacturing tolerance are larger than the acceptable tolerances for conical bearing in this type of application, every transmission needs different shim sizes. There are shims for the input shaft, main shaft, and the differential carrier, so if you get the bearings replaced at any of those locations, you will need to measure the end play without shims, and then use the table in the MT section of the FSM to determine what thickness shims you need. If you need a thickness greater than what is available, use two shims to get that size.

1996 MT FSM

I would print out the relevant pages, and take it to the shop just to make sure they have all the necessary information. The "Service Data and Specifications" section has the information you need.
