led door handles

has any buddy done this on the 4th gen? was wondering how you wired it and everything.

You can follow the 5th gen post. The 4th and 5th gens are almost identical for this task, the difference being the wire colors where he tapped into the power in the windshield pillar. On the 4th gen, The +12 volts is a red/black stripe wire and the ground is a red/white stripe wire.

But when I say the red/black wire is ground, it does not go directly to ground, it goes to the body control module first. Make sure you don't short it to the chassis. Disconnect your battery when you tap into the wires and insulate them well.

to do this do you have to have your dome light on(middle position)? I keep mine off at all times(so no dome light when you open the door). would there be another way to wire it so it functions the same way?
