lower oil pan gasket
I read the stickies on removing both oil pans, but my lower pan is the one that seems to have all the gunk and grease built up around the pan bolts etc. I can just remove that lower steel pan to replace the gasket right? I was a little confused when I heard that there are two pans May be a dumb question but I like to know before I make a mess of things

There will obv be dirt and grime from the road, muchless mine was caked with oil, which is where I thought original leak was coming from....but, yes, pull off replace, new gasket, RTV and seal off, torque bolts...done..
However, note that this may not solve oil leak probs alone...certainly didnt in my case.

[QUOTE=Trini Boom;7996784]Same thing I was about to post.. I knew I didn't recall seeing any gaskets on the engine except for valve covers in terms of sealing oil.[/QUOTE
I know they sell lower oil pan gaskets but the factory may use RTV.
