DEK Swap Dyno Session

Figured I'd share this with the 4th gen crowd. My Brother hit the dyno lastnight to finally have his EU tuned. He made good power but his number are a secret for now lol. Anyway his car always shot fireballs but I finally caught them on film. The last 4 are the actual videos. Enjoy.

What parameters/input data does a DD require? Weight, coefficient of drag? Load based?

The tuner told me its a load based dyno. I do know weather corrections can be entered to adjust the numbers and there are probably more but thats all I know of. Also it can show dynojet numbers but we werent concerned with that. The car made what I expected it would and hopefully he'll hit a dynojet soon.

Theres a few things he can still do to get a few more HP out of it. PFTB, replace his 2.25 flex with a 2.5 or bigger, Bigger maf, bigger intake piping, and tune his timing(EU wouldnt make the corrections for some reason). Once all that is done he'll do cams I guess.

Caused a bit of confusion with my post. I am local and know the car. Headers were a recent addition and I thought they were OBX 3.5 headers.

lol the flex section is 2.25 and he's losing lots of top end because of it so he's going to have it replaced soon.

I'm waiting for those tuned numbers. I'm guessing 220whp at 7000rpm.

Were the runs done in 4th gear by the way?
