another lighting question

another lighting question

Im missing the front dome light in my car and was wondering the bulb type or size. thanks guys

The dome light, which is in the middle of the roof is a 3175 (or DE3175). If you are referring to the light(s) by the rear view mirror, that's not a dome light. It is a map light. It is a proprietary lamp and you can only get it from Nissan.

yea its the map light, so there no aftermarket lights i could put in there

Well... If you really want to get crazy you could remove the contacts from the old build and solder in some LEDs then you would have a completely custom map light

You can buy lamps that fit in there, they just won't be as bright, The Nissan lamp is a 10 watt bulb, the others are 3 to 5 watts.

You can get led lamps (BA9 base) but check and see if it is a polarised lamp or not. If it is polarised, you will have to rewire the socket as it is reverse polarity from all other sockets.
