P0443 EVAP

P0443 EVAP

It says EVAP canitster purge valve circuit fault so what does this mean far as how to fix this and where do i look on a 99.

If you are missing your gas cap, that causes a CEL. Just not sure exactly which one. Fix the obvious thing first. Get another gas cap and clear the code.

you have a fault in your evap system. could be a vacuum leak somewhere or a faulty sensor.

does your car stink of gas, especially by the drivers side rear tire? probably have a faulty evap sensor on the canister. id check there first.

Im getting a cap soon but the code was popping up before i lost my cap which when i decided to see if its the right cap and make sure its closed thats when i found out it was missing.

I do have some fumes coming into the car

i had 0443 and i tried so many things that never ended up working. i ended up going to a junkyard and replacing my entire evap system, it was cheap, but difficult.

I think I just need to change the valve, my only issue is I'm not to sure on where it is on a 99

the valve is really easy to change. get one from the auto part store and swap it out. also check the wire harness. if it doesnt fix the problem then just return it. keep us posted

It's on top of the intake manifold, a little bit behind and to the left (as you stand in front of the car) of the metal loop that has the 2 cables for your throttle.
