neep opinions on what to do next

ok. Starting off, I have a 98 SE 5sp with fidanza flywheel, ypipe, PR CAI, and 175k on the clock. I am pretty much on par with alot of the early 2valve GT guys around here but i wanna get more people upset for losing to the ol' 4 door. I know where a DEK is with less miles. Should i buy the dek and refresh the bottom end for possible spray or boost later and swap it in? Or, should I 00vi my DE and refresh the bottom end anyway. I dont really want to do a vq35 swap for my own reasons. With a price to performance ratio in mind, what would you do in my situation.

Next week starts the refresh on routine stuff. (shocks, mounts, clutch, oil). After those I will be starting the slow climb to 275+ whp.

Headers and b pipe? Sounds like you have everything except tornado and fuel line magnets.
You can only do so much to unlock "free" HP. You needs cans or boost te get to the next level.

I don't know much about nitrous but seems to me just a 50 shot would give you an edge.

This......

For what its worth. The cams on the de are a little better then the ones on the de-k. So IMO i would put the 00vi on the DE engine. If anything buy the de-k and just take off manifolds and what not to slap on the DE.

honestly the stock bottom end of a 3.0 is pretty solid. Ive beaten the ****(spray,8k revs,7.5 daily, low oil ect ect) out of mine with 160k on it with no problems. Id be more worried about the tranny...... Hell i tried to blow my 3.0 before i swapped my 3.5 and i wound up burning the clutch up

I'm leaning towards doing the dumb, but instantly gratifying, thing and going 50 shot, mevi, and jwt ecu. the DEK can wait till the DE pops and if i have to get it, I'm sure its not hard to get rid of a used mevi. Is there any alternative to a jim wolf ecu as far as some timing changes and the rev raise? What is the current choice for our cars as far as PC based tuning software goes? Is it worth it? I know PC based tuning would be better in the long run for boost/more spray.

Please no trolling. I just want straight answers. And yes i have searched. I just want individual opinions based on my options and goals.

00vi.
After y-pipe biggest bang for buck. ~20hp at the top end improvement. With a tuned engine, maybe more.
Check out classified there are a few members selling the full kit.

You havent searched enough........

Emanage ultimate......

And dont go mevi just get a 00VI. Your pretty much doing the same amount of work, but you will loose low end power with the mevi.
