consolidated 3.5 purchase thread?

I cant find a thread through searching that has any kind of information on where and for how much people are getting vq35's for swaps.

1. Any info on what sites/stores have the best deals, service, and parts included with a sale?

2. Who ships quick and cheap?

3. Who has low miles salvages for the best prices?

Or is it all just a matter or being in the right place at the right time for these $150-$350 low miles VQ's?

Since you're on the mainland, I would try www.car-part.com

I used that site once to locate an ECU for my Supra. I got what I wanted/needed at a very good price and it all worked out. It would be too expensive for me to source an engine and have that shipped to Hawaii.

seems steep. I guess alot of these deals people post are from Uncle Joe with the local wreckyard.

A 3.5 for $350? Where do you hear about this madness?

A good deal for a 3.5 would be like around $500 for something that still has 5 digits on the odo.

Decent miles (50-70k) are still around $700-$800 in my area.

A lot of the car-part stuff has suspect mileage. They list it at a lower mileage and charge a lower price. Its not always in your best interest to get the lowest price VQ35.

Got ours for $400 with 72K on it.

For anybody else that views this thread there are other sections of the org besides the 4th gen section so you might want to go out and look around some.
