GT/Bullet wheels will work

Early 2000's series 2valve mustang wheels (GT/Bullets) will fit for drag racing. With a 2in drop on s-techs I was able to fit the front 2 with about 1.5inches of tire hanging out. No bumping or rubbing just dont cut out through a hilled parking section after your runs. Not sure about the tire size but it was an appropriate size for the wheel. Maybe a 245-50 or closer to 235 Drag Radial was used.

The point is that we can use these cheap, easy to find wheels for the strip to get a little more tire on the road. And to be honest, they dont look terrible except for the redneck offset.

Yeah they fit. Had them on my 99. This was back in '05.

225/55/16s or whatever is stock on 99 GT's.... Fitment ain't bad either...

They didn't rub, while my 17s (with 50 side profile) did on hard corners.
