Fuel injector question.......
Fuel injector question.......
Hey, i had to change the number 4 cylender injector and after screwing the cap over the injector on the rail i noticed it didnt sit as low as the other two injectors in the rail. i had expected the cap to squeeze the injector and O-rings into place but it didnt. Fast forward to everything put back together, there is gas leaking out of the top of the injector around where it meets the rail.
Heres the question: can i use a screwdriver/hammer and gently tap on it to push it down into place or will i mess up the injector? what should i do.....

ya, I didn't have the money for a new one so i pulled the front rail off a 96 at a local pick n pull. All the injectors ohm tested well so I know its the right part...ill try the oil and see if that helps
