Fuel injector question.......

Hey, i had to change the number 4 cylender injector and after screwing the cap over the injector on the rail i noticed it didnt sit as low as the other two injectors in the rail. i had expected the cap to squeeze the injector and O-rings into place but it didnt. Fast forward to everything put back together, there is gas leaking out of the top of the injector around where it meets the rail.

Heres the question: can i use a screwdriver/hammer and gently tap on it to push it down into place or will i mess up the injector? what should i do.....

first off do you have the right injector if you do remove the injector and put a lil bit of oil around the o ring to help it seat if the one on there isnt damaged

^^ yup

It is supposed to seat properly. Maybe the parts store mistakenly gave u the wrong one. Compare the new one to the old injector and see if they similar in size.
