Hi Maxima members,

This is C-mod, many of the members here may already know about us as they have purchased and installed our grilles for the Maxima 02-03, 04-06, 07-08, and we also have it for the 09-11, we appreciate your supports with many good comment and nice pictures posted on this forum.

Apparently we are working with Internet Brands to advertise on Maxima.org and to be a new vendor here, we are glad that one of the members has contacted us and asked if we want to custom make the grllles for the Maxima 95-96 and 97-99 as well, in fact we already have some good ideas, but the project is on hold because we are currently busy working with other parts.

But if there is a demand and you guys really want the grilles, we can work on them, we will be here to get some ideas to see how you want the grilles to look like and we need to see how many people will be interested.

As for the price, we can totally beat $200, we should be able to sell each grille around $130-150 plus shipping cost, and of course discount will be giving out for the group buy. If everything works out fine, we will start a group buy and deposits are required to get this going. Generally we need 10 people for each grille and the time frame may take 4-6 months, because we still need to test fit the grilles.

We will keep you updated.

Thanks!

Please note that we will not be able to talk about sales until we have paid to be an officially vendor and advertise on this forum, we are working with Internet Brands to get a deal as we have already advertised on other forum with them.

If you want to contact us, you can send us a private message or email us at cmodgrilles@gmail.com.

This is the new design of the C-mod sport style mesh grille for Maxima 97-99, please give us comments.

The design has a bigger opening for better airflow, it looks slim and not bulky, it blends in with the car more, and it allows you to get access to the hood latch easily.

Similar design as the Maxima 97-99 grille, to keep it consistent, the grille opening is custom made to be wider on the sides and thinner on the top for better airflow, it looks more sporty and aggressive.

Our grilles are finished in black, you can install your grille as is or have it painted to match the body color.

I like this one also, but i dont like how the grille has a piece cut out. I know it's for the hood latch, but will it be so big on the actual product? In the photoshop it jus looks like it takes alot away from the overall look.

You need it to reach the hood latch, can someone confirm if we can raise it up or remove it without any problem?

Oh I see, its different from the 95-96, where the opening is on the grille frame, instead of the grille itself. in that case nevermind lol

I like this too, its very possible that the opening isnt needed. the 97-99 hood latch is in the same location as 95-96 I do believe and could use the same opening. My ebay OEM replacement is notched out just like the 95-96 grille. I will get some pics later

EDIT: I thought it was notched like 95-96. It is NOT. Its notched regularly

The little cut out on grille for 97-99 IS needed, maybe it doesnt have to be so low though.

Mine is a 1995, but I'm a 1997 swap, so I would need the 1997-1999 grille. It looks awesome though!

I co-sign j-dawg's post.

Anything about lower inserts for 97-99s?

Or atleast selling some matching mesh to make our own?

Wish the grille looked more like this, I understand there would need to be a spot for the latch, but I really like the lower "horizontal" area. I cant chop it to where the top is thinner. Something like the R33 skyline grill but a thicker lower area. Not much thicker, just a tad more so its visible

I agree, as long as it isnt thick like the Sarona:

This is perfect for the 95-96, 97-99 idk b/c of the latch hole:

Thats one thing I hate about Sarouna grilles. The bars are HUGE. Hence why I did the second chop Chris asked about, Because the bars are thinner, but not so thin they are "invisble"

The Sarona grille may look way too thick, but we can not make it thinner than the stock grille, cause the mounting brackets on the back of the grille, we need the mounting brackets there to attach and secure the grille.

My thoughts were to actually make it just a little thicker than stock on the lower portion. Just something to give the lower bar a little hight. Not as much as the Sarona, but not as little as stock

I doubt we'd want it thinner than stock because of it not lining up with the bumper properly...

The more airflow, the better IMO. I like the top and bottom being slim, as opposed to thicker as Tigersharkdude proposed in post #74 . I wouldn't change the design one bit, except for minimizing the latch opening as much as possible.

EDIT: Whatever thickness is decided, I strongly feel that both the top and bottom horizontal bars should be the same thickness. I know it's just a pic, but the top and bottom bars appear to have different thicknesses.

Alright, I'll be the first to ask. Don't mean to change the topic here, but is there any chance of getting one made in Carbon Fiber? I understand the price will be higher. I would buy one in a heartbeat for my 99.
