Finally getting my drop.....

Since my suspension is shot, I've decided to get a new drop now. I've decided on getting Tokico Illuminas and H&R springs.

I just ordered my Illuminas from performancepeddler.com and I logged in with "Maxima" to get the discounted price. I was able to get the entire set of Illumnas for $473 shipped. I can't wait to get them.

Now I need to find a place to get the H&R. I was looking on ebay and the cheapest there is like $235 shipped. Ima check the GD section here too.

I'll try to post some pics of the drop when I get them on. TBC

Woot Woot!! A dropped maxima is a good looking maxima, especially if you got bigger then stock rims.

I (finally) got my tokico illumina shocks + springs from an org member, and so far I'm loving it. =)

If you don't mind me asking, how many miles were on the car before you decided to switch out the suspension?

Don't forget to get camber bolts for the front struts, unless you like having negative camber.

You don't need camber bolts unless something is bent. There should be enough adjustment to put it into spec.

I was dropped on progress 1.7 in front and alignment was perfect without them. On a side note, some negative camber is good for cornering

How did you like the progress drop? I'm considering these. What type of shock did you use?

The ride was great. It wasn't too much different from the stock SE suspension. I used the Kyb Gr2 struts but I've heard that the Illumina struts would be a better pair.

That's more then likely the combo im going to go with, I have an SE now and the ride is alright but I'm tired of the 4X4

I am looking into getting the Tokico Illuminas and H&R springs setup but it is possible or I am really asking is it smart to just get the front struts first then next month get my rear struts done? and then springs?

My front struts are done and my rear struts are fine for now...
