ok so i cant decide which i like more i havent drove with the sunroof open since i took off the wind deflector but.
Then again i dont use my sunroof much anyway what do you guys and gals think?

i cant decide if i like sleek look (plus a little more aggressive maybe IMO) or wanna look a lil more oem style

 

Personally I like it without, I removed my deflector and my "mud flaps" at the same time and at first I was skeptical like you. I kinda felt like I was taking away from the OEM look and that it was wrong to do so. But after washing the car and cleaning up the dirty lines left behind I felt much better about my decision. I love it now, and would never go back to the deflector, I haven't even noticed an increase in noise with the sunroof open either. So I say keep it off!

 

if i decide to keep it off i can sell the deflector.. or make it a weekend project and CF it and then sell it for even more(plus the satisfaction of having a cf deflector lol

 

it looks better with it off gives it a smoother look

well i drove it with it off and i think im gonna keep it off. so if anyone needs a slightly used wind deflector lemme know..
i can say without the weirdest feeling on here that
" i took my top off" lol

Looks better with the deflector off but it's much windier and noisier inside the car without it. I just remove mine in the fall and put it back on in the spring.

if not, i have a set i could sell you, i got them at the junkyard, condition is probably 7 outta 10, scraped on the bottom as usual, but no like rips or cracks or anything

Sunroof deflectors scream 1990's...totally date the car.

Maximas have a clean profile, don't ruin it with a deflector! It also makes your ride appear higher than it really is, as your eyes will have a tendency to go to the highest point.

well if you like it on i have one for sale thats in pretty good condition.. the longer i keep it the more i want to do it in cf but of course then the price goes up too lol

removing a wind deflector is not "taking your top off." thatd be removing the roof...

I am with the 'off' crowd. It was different at first, I had one on for 4-5 years. Been deflecterless for about a year and half now. I don't notice that much difference in wind noise either.

even if the moonroof is open a little, up to the point to where the deflector ends, just enough to ash a cig out the roof if its rainy...is there still no diff in sound with or without it?

 

ive had the car up to about 70 on the highway on a windy day and couldnt tell any difference in wind sound with the sunroof wide open

 

My deflector partially came off on the highway, so at the next rest stop I chucked it and never looked back. It looks much smoother, and agree the deflector screams late 90's...

 

I prefer it off as well

 

i love having my carbon fiber sunroof deflecter, its alittle smaller than OEM so its perfect

 

im thinking about making my oem one with a cf overlay for those cf nuts out there (i know you see this panda)
