Jesus Wizard, why do you have a 98 auto max as a backup? You must ball hard.

I have not had the OBX one in my max, but have had it in two other cars and definitely felt good and tight and never broke.

YOU SEE, now I'm skeptical....to buy OBX or not to buy.

also, jarrod has driven it and can attest to the excellence
TWM is something i will definately look into. the price isnt that bad IMO. will get back to this when i decide what i go with...

I've had the OBX-R on my car since last November without any problems of it snapping.

There was a few problems with it though. It did not come with the bolt to install it to the linkage. I had to have a custom bolt made to install it.

It also sits far to close to the dash when it's in 1st, 3rd and 5th gear. Pretty much in 4th gear is where the stock shifter use to sit in Neutral. I hope to have this fixed with some minor modifications.

I understand completely. Although with a slight modification of the shifter I'll have it sitting where I want it and with about 1/3 the cost as an STS, Pacesetter, Stillen etc.

I don't have $180+ for a short throw. If I did I wouldn't have bothered with a cheap one like this.
