any ideas on restoring a steering wheel?

Hello,
Have not posted in here in a while.

Any ideas on how to somewhat restore a 97 steering wheel? The finish is pretty much gone on the top of it.....would scotch guard or something like that help any?

thanks

depends on how far gone it is. if the shine is just starting to fade it will work, but if you have started to wear into the leather there is not much you can do. or you can do as i have and wear through the leather in some places.

Try wheelskins. Kevlo installed a 2-tone leather cover on his steering wheel & it looks great. Here is their website: http://www.wheelskins.com/
