Just Seafoamed & Replaced My Knock

Seafoamed the '98 GXE by pouring a 1/4 bottle of Seafoam & a 1/2 bottle of Seafoam Deep Creep into the clear plastic top of a 25-pack of DVDs & unplugging the hose going into the brake booster.

Got the car warm, unplugged the brake booster & just stuck it into the Seafoam mixture until it was all gone. Poured the other half of Deep Creep along with another 1/4 bottle of Seafoam into the gas tank.

Plugged the hose back into the brake booster & hopped on the interstate & probably pissed a lot of people off. And like a nasty-*** honey badger I DON'T CARE. Ran the car until smoke stopped coming out of the tip & returned home to replace my Knock Sensor.

My Fing hand is killing me. Read the 'how to' on here & it's easy if you have small hands. I don't.

12mm socket (not a 12-point)
Ratchet 3/8
10" extension
5" extension
3" extension
1" Elbow extension
Hook thingy from a hook set

That was all I had along with the 'how to' & now the Max accelerates so smooooooth....

Now to replace the two front 02 sensors, the battery, & get a warp speed y-pipe....then replace the LCAs & outer tie-rod ends.....ugh.

When I get the oil changed in a couple weeks I'll pour the other 1/2 of Seafoam into the crankcase for 5-10 before the oil change.

Is seafoam really worth it? I see a lot of people doing it, but I'm always a bit leery of miracles in a can?

I would never put it in my oil but **** I'll use it in the vacuum and gas all day. I think mainly for me its just to fill auto zones parking lot up with smoke hehehe

Wow....with the exception of just installing the WS y pipe, you just quoted my maintenance to do list lol. Oh and add lower motor mounts.....

I did it once, didnt get much smoke but pedal response improved.

I think the people that had problems either didnt do it correctly (i dont see how you could mess anything up) or there were serious problems with the car to begin with.
