96 maxima shifting problems

the other day the car worked fine
i went out this morning to go to work and the car started but would not go into gear

the clutch feels normal till u start up the car and then it goes to the floor
i replaced the slave..and it still does the same thing

possible throwout bearing?
or even the pressure plate?
any input would be appreciated thanks

also the car will shift into the gears when off...

This post may help you...

http://aackshunsgarage.blogspot.com/...utch-line.html

In order of what failed for me...
-Leak in the rubber line from check box to slave

Couple of months later....
-Leak somewhere else/Slave failed
-Replaced the lines and rebuilt the slave, been fine ever since.

Did you already check the lines and fittings for leaks? Did the slave bleed easily? If so then a leak is probably not your issue. Does the pedal stick or slow to return?

Take the rubber boot off of the clutch fork and look inside with a flash light. you might be able to see if either the spring clip that holds the fork to the ball is missing or if the fork itself has broken. Other than taking the trans out and looking at everything its kinda of hard to diag.
