Real talk, my cousin moved from SC to MA last wk. He asked me to look his car over.
His car is completely "down south". Its rims, exhaust, slammed, 5% tints.
I told him, he is gonna hate his life now cuz the car will never pass inspections legally.
Jus to illustrate how bad it is...I got a short ram. One night i was really beatin on it. Cop pulled me over cuz i has driving hard and my short ram was noisy. Now that is BS! dude was cool tho...i showed him i drove a 5spd and he was cool lol

SHORT RAM IN CALI?! Tch tch tch. Better be CARB legal.
A guy (2-slow-50) from Cali moved over here and he's flipping out over the fact that you can have intakes and exhaust on your car and still pass, basically you can do anything that won't trip a CEL and you're good.

I doubt Id do that. Was just venting. I chimed in about the twin loop in clashez thread. Not a fan whatsoever.
Live and learn right? Was emulating Al's (gunmax's) setup (full cattman and tp). His sounds great. Minimal to no rasp even with a tp. Unsure whether his tp is 2.5 or 3. Will reinstall the oem cat and hope the note improves to my standards. But Id like to get a vid/sound clip of this setup so ppl can use it for future reference.

I wanted to flange it like how the cattman/sp2 are but it was getting pricey. I went over budget with this one...will have to go over even more to reinstall the cat.
Nice work VQ! IMHO, I still feel you wasted $$ and energy with that test pipe. It serves no purpose really. Care to explain your thought process in why a test pipe was so crucial to your plan vs. having a cat in place?
How are you going to pass emissions now? You either have to know a "friendly" smog shop
, or go back to your shop to drop the whole system so you can reinstall your old setup that will accept a cat. At the very minimum, I don't understand why you didn't flange your test pipe/Bpipe connection so a cat could be swapped in easily come smog time.

the numbers your putting down anit that impressive for a maxima with a 3'' and headers... your cat back anit that much louder then mine, i don't think that was loud at all. you also got to remember your running a 3.0 i'm 3.5 on top of that.
4DRSpeed is puting down better numbers then that with a 2.5 and just a y-pipe

lol A. Find another 3.0 making more TQ then me.
B. Technically the 3.5 is quieter since the 3.0 exhaust ports flow better towards the high range.
C. You're a fcking moron, check 4drspeed's mod list, dum@$$
D. Ebay, borrow, steal, don't care how you do it, get a better camera.

3" Loud? hrmmm I may need my ears re-adjusted, before the exhaust leak occured, the car sounded like it just had a muffler on it, I mean hell you can see my track vids on youtube, you can barely hear my car over all of the others.....

it definitely sounds louder then a normal 2.5 setup. Im not saying it sounds extremly loud, or nasty cause it doesnt. Its just louder then a normal catback, but with a nicer deeper tone.
