i wouldnt do the baseball bat/hammer way unless you live where its always warm, if you live around salt/snow and dont roll them properly youre just going to get cracks in the fender and water/debris/salt gets in and youre gonna get crazy rust

First time I did mine I used a rubber mallet, BUT with the paint warmed up. It rolled them but not entirely flat.
2nd time I rented a roller for 50.00 bux warmed the paint and got them completely flat.

I bought the Eastwood Fender Roller for when I do mine....not cheap (but I did pay a heck of a lot less than the price you see now)

Cheap way to roll fenders. I picked up this tool too through an auction for $20 shipped NIB! Use this with a good heat gun

Check out their videos on youtube on their main website

You could always "rent" too

Yea but this tool won't give you any pull if you need it... I also used this at the shop and works great for rolling doing it out side on a nice hot day would work to, if thier is no heat un available

True. But the OP never directly said anything about pulling fenders...

When I painted my car over a few weeks I installed new fenders to replace the heavily rusted OEMs. I used a rubber mallet to bend them in. These fenders weren't painted yet so I just left them in the sun to make the bending easier.

Miami Prices
$50 per fender in a shop
$25 per fender with car enthusiasts like ourselves, does a great job too.
