yea they arent very clear at all and dont look good. I like them simply because they are built to last. With Silverstar bulbs they put a hell of a lot of light on the road.....just dont look very good.

Hear are my results, I wetsanded with 800 grit. Clearcoated with a rattle can. Wetsanded with 2000 grit and polished. Wetsanded with 2000 grit again (still some orange peel look to it, but the 2nd sanding took it away) and polished one final time.

800 grit wetsand

Clearcoat ---> 2000 grit ---> polish

2nd 2000 grit ---> polish (apparently I didn't do a great job the first time)

Did you use the 2:1:1 ratio (clearcoat : hardener : reducer) when mixing the 74700s? With plastic headlights should I use less hardener to keep them from cracking? 4:1.5:2

yes that is the ratio i used, with all dupont. and no, mix it correctly, there will be no problems with cracking. ive gotten the same results with sherwin williams clear too, just as long as its automotive grade clear.

I'll try the 2:1:1 mixing ratio after I wetsand the headlights, corners, and foglights with 800. I just got new clear bumper lights delivered today so I'll wetsand those with 1000 then clearcoat them also so they blend good with those other lights.
