Painted my brake calipers
I painted my brake calipers last night. Cleaned the calipers up real good with some brake cleaner. Masked them off and sprayed 4-5 coats With VHT high temperature spray paint.
I think they turned out great. I went with a Bronze metallic rather then a popular color like red.
Sorry for the horrible pictures. My phone's camera isn't very good.

If you don't have any grease in your caliper mounts (brackets) then your pads and rotors will be shaving away much faster. The mounts have holes that the guide pins slide into. Those pins need to kept greased so the pads and rotors meet evenly when the claiper piston applies pressure.

Personally I'm not a fan of the color yellow. I hate yellow cars and or pretty much yellow anything. Except bananas. I like bananas. Plus something tells me yellow would be difficult to keep clean, like white. I already have enough problems keeping my pearl white paint clean.

I didn't pull them off because that would require bleeding etc etc. I just pulled the wheel off and masked everything that I didn't want sprayed and then did 5 coats of paint. After it was dry removed the masking and replaced the wheel and let the car sit over night (about 12hours) before driving it.

Every Honda civic around here has a huge fiberglass spoiler with red calipers.

The yellow on black actually looks pretty nice.
I actually caught some younger guys (probably still in High school) taking pics of my Max when I walked out of the store yesterday. They said it was the nicest looking Nissan they've seen in the area and gave me props. One of them actually thought it was an Altima... Either way it still made me feel good about my car.

So then bronze or yellow? Because its gunmetal grey and I just wanted to see a good color because red is too common. Thats cool that highschoolers thought it was cool because most students at my school hate on my car but then again they just have ricers well hondas lol
