unwanted dash lights

unwanted dash lights

i changed the crankshaft sensor next to the trans and now my e-brake light stays on and my battery light. what happened?

Brake light and battery light together indicates an alternator problem. Check your voltage while running.

easiest way to check is to start up your car and throw a multimeter on the battery posts. if it reads 12.4V or less, your alternator is not putting out.

if you need a new alternator, I'll save you lots of time and tell you to get a NAPA reman alternator instead of autozone duracrap.

Check that you didn't somehow unplug the small 2 wire connector from the alternator. Also check the 7.5 amp fuse labeled ALT.S that is in the fuse block next to the battery.

i just started my car today and both lights went out. just for laughs i threw my battery load tester on there and it read right around 14.5. out of curiosity which damn crank sensor is for starting? my car is throwing 1336 which is crank sensor variable unlearned and my car starts like sh**

They both are used, but P1336 is for the one for the flywheel.

i just checked the codes with the cars own thing and got "0905" which says crankshaft position sensor (sensor) what the hell does this mean? i just replaced the sensor at the flywheel with a beck arnley one yesterday, the car starts like sh** and the check engine light keeps coming back. text me with ideas, going to work. 315-520-6766

the flashing light code of 0905 is the P1336 code, Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS) COG, the one at the flywheel.
