Im gonna go out on a newby limb and ask. Is this just laminated over stock parts? Wouldnt that qualify as rice if it is fake, heavier, and does not improve HP/TQ?

Not bad but why waste your time and money doing that to the stock intake?

I'm curious to know if it's wrapped or actually made of Carbon fiber. My guess is it's wrapped which leads to my question of.. Why? To each their own though. You Should post some installed pics.

IMO it would have looked great just doing the scoop. Doing the airbox was just overdoing it. Keep things simple.

It's wrapped. What company would make a CF stock 1998 Nissan Maxima intake.

Hi all,

It is stock intake that processed through water printing (water transfer) process.

and yes, it is doesn't make extra power to the car, I just want to make my engine bay more nice looking (at least for me). I am not a fan of ricer items. But I want to dress up my engine bay. May be this is give nothing extra power, but I had done some performance mods to my car.

As for the installed picture, I will take it once I have them installed (probably next week).

thanks for looking

Did you do this yourself or send to a service to do the water transfer?

Don't pay attention to all the negativity. Half the garbage people do to their cars on this forum is pointless and looks overdone. Its all about personal preference.

It looks good (especially from 3+ feet away), but water printing/transfer is not my style. Maybe Flava though, he has a part or two with water transfer CF.

Yeah, 8 years ago I would have considered doing something like this, but it's the real deal for me or bust. I'll take something with a real CF overlay over this.

If you like it OP, that's all that matters. Props for probably being the first (and maybe last) to do this. Looking forward to final installed pics. Enjoy.

Looks ok. I'm having some hydrographics done as well for some interior pieces, and possibly some wheels. Props for originality.

FYI that intake was in great shape but super dirty. He bought it from me and it sat in a shed for a very long time. Dude had to put some serious work into just cleaning up the parts.

IMO its a fantastic looking stock intake. I know some people prefer the low end torque of the stock box.. nice way to dress it up!

Would really like to see the pics of it mounted!
