Is it possible to lower the automatic shifter?
Not for any kind of performance reasons or anything, just simply for looks. Can I chop the staulk/stem/stick somehow so the shift **** sits lower to the console? Also, while we are on the subject, anyone have a boot for their automatic? Thanks guys, I appreciate your answers.

Ha-ha!! You remember that, huh? Yes, she did make me a REAL leather e-brake boot. But for that, she had a model to work from. That's the only reason I asked about the shifter boot. To get some ideas what others did. But yeah, I will be having my mom make me a shifter boot soon.

Shadow, thanks for replying, I just sent you an e-mail.
Drivin, yeah ask your mom. I saved all the templates and stuff. I might be able to talk my mom into making you one but the last thing she said when giving it to me was 'don't ask me to make another one of these things, it was not fun'. Although, I would think her second one would be easier/quicker. ? But if nothing else, I can send you the templates and maybe some tips/instructions. Be prepared to spend $25 on the leather alone though. E-mail me.

Thanks Nis. Do you have a better picture of just the boot up close? Is it real leather? Can you get it in all black? Will it work with the stock shifter ****? Can you still read your P R N D? Where would one get one of these universal boots? Thanks.

mine is synthetic leather because when I was doing this project, I was custom fitting it as I went along so I didnt want to spend alot of money for a leather one and ending up destroying it and wasting my money.
You can get it in almost any color since its an aftermarket-universal (made for manual trans.)
It will work with the stock shifter.
You can no longer read the PRND21 so you will have to get used to remembering where your shifter is at.
You can get them at any auto parts/aftermarket place. Its just a universal shift boot. Its not like its custom made for this.
Nismo: your automatic shifter... which brand is that? and does it have the OD button on it? I'm looking for a shifter like that, but haven't come across any like that with an OD button.

I dont remember the name of who made my shifter, It was like Euro something. No I dont have OD button so I had to rewire the od to a seperate switch. Not hard to do at all, just 2 wires that you need to wire it to a interrupter switch (like a toggle switch)
