Just get one from Nissan. It is not very expensive (< $25 IIRC ).

There is a sender and a sensor next to each other. tha smaller one with a single spade terminal is for the gauge. the other one may be larger and has two (i think) terminals. the second is the ECT sensor that you need to replace.

OK this may be a little off subject but I'm stumped I have a 95 maxima that all of a sudden just died on me. I was driving to store and on my way back home it started driving poorly lost power would only hit 25 MPH then eventually died and would crank but not fire. After getting it home by towing I ran diagnostic on it came back with

1005 egr solenoid
0303 upstream o2 sensor (left bank)
0407 crankshaft position sensor
0503 upstream o2 sensor (right bank)
0308 closed loop control fault
0606 cylinder no. 3 misfire

So I've replaced crank sensor, coil pack on cylinder no.3, new battery, all new plugs, prior to all that i also did this maintanance. PCvvalve, fuel filter& water pump. Didn't mess with egr system since that has nothing to do with ignition. But one of my friends said my catalyst system could have collapsed causing it to not fire. Also if this is a factor it was cold when car stopped running. Please any and all information will greatly appreciated

I would start your own thread for more answers. Did you use a Nissan Coil pack? What plugs did you get?

Did you replace the correct crankshaft sensor, there's 2 of them.
CPS REF - Located just about the crank pulley
CPS POS - Located on the transmission bell housing, looks at the flywheel.

Yeah it was the (ref) one. My next option would be camshaft pos sensor.
