Is it bad to get a bit of PB blaster on the CV boots or like rubber parts? Being a penetrating catalyst I would think so. I'm asking because last week I got a bit on my DS acle boot. Today, I see that it was spraying axle grease and the boot was a bit torn and brittle. Coincidence, or no

Possibly. Not sure since I haven't had this accident. Either way, get it replaced.

The Boot is made to resist petroleum (It's packed with grease).
The PB Blaster didn't damage your boot, age did.

I've sprayed so much PB blaster on strut bolts etc on cars I work on (dripping lots on the axle boots in the process, unintentional of course) and never had a torn boot because of it, always age-related.
