so i actually went ahead and tried out a good mod, got the right part (except for a different buzzer), and i have some issues.

this is the mod im talking about- http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=49

where you make your alarm beep when you set it.

so, i wired everything correctly, and shown in the picture, i wired together the ground from the buzzer to the ground from the coil. then i grounded them both to the chassis.

my beeper works when i did this, but my corner lights stay on constant instead of flashing twice.

then i left the wires connected together, but ungrounded them from the chassis. the lights flash light they're supposed to, but the beeper is extremely quiet.

troubleshooting- i tried switching the wires around on the coil, i tried switching the wire from normally closed to normally open. my only other guess is that when i spliced into the orange/green wire, i did the wrong one. maybe the creator of the mod got lucky and spliced into the correct wire.

anyone else do this mod and have problems??

You don't need the relay. I'll show you how it's done on mine next time I see you.

When I look at the drawing, I don't see how it can work. The diagram as drawn will never energize the relay, as both sides of the energizing coil are connected to ground.

As you look at the drawing, look at the top left corner of the relay. The drawing shows the top of the coil connected to ground at bottom of the beeper. The bottom of the relay coil (bottom left corner) is connected to the BCM. When the lights are supposed to flash, the BCM grounds the wire and the relay coil has ground on both sides.

What you want to do is connect the top of the relay coil to 12 volts.
