Step/Courtesy Light Help!

Ok, so I bought some LED lights for my step/courtesy light. My passenger door works perfect. The driver side is where I have the problem. I am 100% the bulb works, since I test it with the passenger door. Okay, so when I put in the bulb, the light is very dim (with the door being open). When I close the door, the light gets a bit brighter and stays on. Before installation, I saw a small spark in the bulb socket, so I know I screwed something up. Where should I start looking?
Thanks.
-Boris.

i think this has soething to do with your BCM. Ill double check and post back when i get a chance. I dont think there is a fuse just for the step lights. Check with a multi-meter and see what your getting.

It wouldnt be a fuse if the one side is working lol

If one side is working, it's not the fuse. The fuse for those lights is the int. ill fuse IIRC.

Try pulling your BCM fuse under the hood and reinsert it. That should reset it.

If your dome light works but the step lights don't, try resetting them with the BCM fuse. If that doesn't work, try unplugging/reconnecting your main window switch. That worked for me one time.

naw man...its those cheap a** chinese LEDs u bought.

Had the same thing happen to me. It jus so happens that i bought 2 sets. So when the bulb was dim, i jus replace it with another one.

Same thing also happened with my dome light LED.

Try the refrigerator, that's a good place to look for just about anything.

Seriously, why don't you start looking where you saw the spark?
The light circuit is grounded to complete, meaning the 12v is present at all times.
