Evap canister (type) question

Hey, all!

I picked up (jy run) a canister from a 4th gen maxima (it was a 98, i believe) that has a part #: 14950-4L600. One of the ports (the second one closer to you) on it is larger than the lines that my wife's 97 has. Here are the pics and diagrams:

http://www.nissanpartszone.com/compo...223-478_3.html

It says 1998.06 onwards. It also is a lot more expensive than the other variants (almost $200 new)

Looks to me like it was originally intended for 5th gen, but I'm sure I can make it fit by using a larger diameter vac. line. Just wondering if any of you came across this before.
Appreciate it!

Why not just get the correct canister from the dealer? I bought one for someone recently and it was $57 brand new. Now if the previous owner placed a different canister there, then I don't know what to tell ya...

This is also true. There are 3 different types of canisters for the 4th gens. You may want to put back the correct one.
