Dim parking lights; bad ground?

Thought it might be the bulbs, but no luck. Headlights and fog lights are bright as can be, but my parking lights are almost pink.

Anyone have any insight for me? My previous Maxima didn't have this problem...

Not sure why the parking lights have 1157 bulb anyway, only need one filament, am I right?

It should have an 1157 bulb because it is also the turn signal. That assumes we are talking about the same light. If you take the bulb out and look in the socket, there will be 2 contacts in there, just like on the end of the bulb.

Maybe you are having a corrosion problem with the sockets or the grounds for the lights. Look on the back side of the sockets to see if everything looks solit and follow the wires back from the lights and see if you can detect any bad connections or whatever.

Look in the stickies for 4th gen how to's then for the corner light mod. I know exactly what you are talking about. They do not blink but they are always on, then when you put your blinked on, the corner lights get brighter...hence the name cornering lights. Anyway, do the corner light mod and they will always be bright. I've done mine and its just a matter of snipping one of the contacts on the bulb. If I remember right pull the cornering lights out to access the bulb, use a pair of nail clippers, and clip the contact on thebulb which is closest to the glass. When you put the bulb back in the socket, reverse it by putting it in so the remaining lower contact goes in the socket where the other contact was. Put it all back together and enjoy your always bright corners.

Put orange 1157's in the corners next to the headlights.
No need to mod anything, the contrast in color looks much better over the dim clear bulb.

Dont know if you can tell the difference with yours, but here's mine with the corner light mod. They are almost as bright as the fogs and headlights. You can do the orange ones in too like the guy above me said. It's all your preference though...i personally hate the orange and will be getting rid of the orange bumper lights soon.

Definitely go for the corner light mod. Also looks better when you just have the corner lights on.
