Koyorad

Has anyone bought any of the radiators from this company KoyoRad, and if someone would be so kind enough to state any thing about Koyorad's radiators.

Any info along the lines of;

-price
-fitment
-performance

This doesn't pertain to a Maxima, but I put an OEM spec radiator in my '94 Accord Coupe and it was a perfect fitment. I bought it for about 50-60 on eBay and it always performed well. Never overheated and ran cooler too.

Theres a thread on here regarding koyo radiators and how it's the "go to" radiator once your OEM one fails. Price depends on you generation of max. Still inexpensive and good.

Thanks for the info and i will run a better search on it to find the KoyoRad thread. And at silver, they do make them for our cars by the way.

you can get a Mishimoto rad for $240 for a 96. If you have the xtra flow I would always go top end on your cooling when replacing OEM.

I can get a Koyo for a lot cheaper than that, but I know one of the vendors here sells the Mishimoto for 224. What is the difference between the two though is my next question

it depends on what your intended use is as well. If you are just looking for an easy install radiator that fits with no B.S. and cools properly than the Koyo stock replacement sold in the group buy is a great set up.

If you are racing your car and need to have better more hardcore cooling than you may want to look at some of the other options that may not be so easy to install without a little modification.

I installed the Koyo in my car and it works great, fit right up with no issues and I had it done in only and hour or so with removing the old coolant, installing all new hoses (totally recommend this if you are already in their) re-installing the fans and double checking for leaks after the refill.

Good Luck.

Thanks man, I wont be a boosted max for any time soon, so Koyo will be a better option for me then, and I was intending to get all new hoses because i didn't want to half *** any thing.

I appreciate the help so far everyone, so thank you

I'm running Koyo radiators in both my cars. They work just fine in our 110 degree summers. here's the link to the group deals thread:

At least do the silicone hoses then. I always put in higher grade parts than I need because I know I will continue to modify. I dont want to have to replace a part thats still essentially new just because it cant keep up with the POWAH....That I dont quite have yet :-(

Since you are draining everything and replacing hoses, go ahead and replace the thermostat also. Inexpensive, and easy access with all that other stuff out (thought it will help to also upbolt the horn on that side and move it out of the way).

I ordered a KOYO radiator from 1800 radiator for my 03 Maxima and it's been fine.....I'm personally gonna put a Genesis all aluminum in the 4th Gen since they're always in stock!
