Seatbelt light

Want to disable that little annoying Seatbelt light that is always on. Any ideas for my '97 SE?

I do not think you should do this, but you could cut the belt and just place the clicker part in the opening (like it should be). The car will think you are using the seatbelt and your not...like I said, I don't think you should do this.

For those of you Wiseasses...I can't due to physical limitations in my neck! Let's just answer the question rather than try to be funny!

If you reall can't put it on...

Go to advanced autoparts and buy a seatbelt from them (cheap). Cut off the female part and stick it in the socket. Voila! Cheap, easy no more beeping.

On my CRX, all I did was disconnect the wire harness under the seat that connected the belt "clicker" to the car. I thought it would cause the light to be on all the time, but it had the opposite effect. No more light, at all, at any time. I had a book go under the seat in my Max the other night, and when I got it out, I noticed the same type wire harness as in my CRX. I was going to disconnect it and see but I was tired. Hope this helps...

And if you had stated that in your original post, we might not have been such "wise-asses".

We aren't mind-readers you know.

May not pass safety inspections if you do this though.

that wire harness under your seat might not be for the seat belt, i think its for the heated seat or power seat option.
