Gonna be hard to find a motor with super low miles for a really low price. These cars are getting older and older and racking up miles.
If it were me, Id call about the 66k or the 76k cause thats pretty good pricing and mileage.

I bought a motor years ago from a yard using that site, bough the motor with 35k and a year warranty for 300.00, shipping was 160.00 for a total of 460.00

Look for a DE-K 2000-2001 engine. More power and probably lower mileage.

if u gonna buy online then PLEASE do not spend a lot of money on the engine.

Honestly this thread should be in the regionals and if u not replacing the engine yourself, let the shop find an engine for you. There are threads of ppl buyin the wrong model year engine and having to do some modification to get the engine running.

well im at work right now and will call all those places soon.. but i will be doing the swap.. how dificult is this? i have pulled rwd engines before but never a maxima..
and the 3.5.. is goin to run a lil more then wat my budget is since my old engine blew the timing chain and isnt that what you swap onto the 3.5

also i thought all 95-99 3.0 engines where the same?

Essentially yes they are the same. Except that each year had different emissons equipment.

You wd be best served to get the exact yr and tranny.

U can use a different model year but it will not be direct swap of u will need componentry depending on the donor engine yr

He can just swap over his top end, its mainly the evap stuff thats attached to the UIM. Id swap the entire fule rail over as well, that way he knows that are all working correctly.
He has more options that way, gonna be extremly hard to find an egine from a 95 that has low enough mileage to be worth buying.

agreed.

Besides, we are all assuming that besides from the engine the rest of car is worth keepin.

No sense in putting an engine in a car that is worth crap. might as well get another car

At the end of the day we still talking bout a used car.

They offer a lifetime warranty for only $150.00. When I had my Honda I dumped trannys left and right and all I had to pay was $150.00 for another lifetime warranty. I was buying trannys and engines like crazy and besides me abusing them myself they were in perfect shape when I got them.
