McMaster Carr Gas Struts (Hood)

Did anyone try the gas struts from McMaster? I have heard good feedback for McMaster gas struts and am wondering whether anyone here had tried for 4 gen max.

If you did, please post the part#. Thanks.

It feels like a fun project. Though I prefer not to drill if I don't have too. I will probably look into eBay if McMaster does not offer cheap solution....

Any hood struts lol Cheapest ones you can find. They're straight bolt on. Should come with new bolts like mine did.

My ebay ones are still good, about two years. I don't pull my hood up forcefully, I let it rise slowly.

I had mine for a while and they're still perfect. Just sold them to a local.

Now I've got some almost blown ones of the same brand for my CF hood. Works like a charm.

I had some Monroe for over a year, it was the first thing I replaced when I got the car. Easy to install, direct bolt-on. No complains.
