Steering a bit loose
I just got the tires rotated for the first time on the car and now the steering feels a little loose. Maybe even a bit jumpy at times. Do I need an allignment?
Sounds like you need a weel balance, it wouldn't be an alignment since for the most part an alignment will pull your car to one side.
I just rotated my dads tires on his 97 SE and its doing the same thing at highway speeds it feels slightly loose.. Time for a wheel balance...

I started it a while ago and got a lot of responses. Seems like loose or floaty steering is a somewhat-common problem on the 4th generation cars. I don't think anyone has posted about resolving the problem, though. My car is still loose but it isn't as bad now, and I didn't do a thing to it.
How did you rotate the tires, diagonally or front-to-back? I used to have a car with one tire that was slightly bigger/smaller than the others (same size tire, just a little off) and I got some strange handling quirks. You could try swapping the right- and left-front tires and see if the jumpiness goes away.
Good luck,
TOM

It was done at Nissan, it was Balance & rotate. I'm not sure how they did the rotation, since I have all kuhmo's and they were all pretty new, i've only been able to identify one of the wheels. The front left was put in the rear back
I know that 4th gens are a bit floaty at high speeds, but it wasn't this floaty before the rotation. I guess I relly should get the FTSB. I was hoping to go for the Intake first. I can only afford one right now.
