1998 maxima problems

1998 maxima problems

My car grinds 3rd when I go to shift I been searching up on it and been thinking about changing the tranny fluid but when I go to look at the gear positing sensor the wires were cut to it and the sensor looks like it's been leaking slowly plz help let me know ASAP what to do The sensor is still there and has like 6 inches of cable connected to it and it's cut

Hi,

I wouldn't change the transmission fluid, sometimes it does more bad than good. Also, if by "cut" you mean that the actual wire is messed up then I would try to patch it if possible. Good luck,
