If your 5 speed then your 3rd gear is grinding because you need synchro's, It has absolutely nothing to do with any wire in on or around your car. If your auto ask someone else because i know nothing about them.

Auto or manual, the wire in the tranny pan, I believe it's the solinoid pack harness that's if your auto. There are bunch of wires on the back of tranny near the intakebox and the battrey is on a auto.

1st Manual trannies dont use "fluid" autos do. Change your gear oil. Our trannies need GL4, don't listen to the tards behind the counter at the parts store. GL4/GL5 oils will not work, they will cause grinding. I recommend STA LUBE #SL24239. You will also need a smaller 1qt bottle. Napa carried it last time I checked.

WOW .... LOL

OP .... our 5spd trans are not the best in the world so it's best to be gentle with them (if you're not - that could cause your grind). You might also want to check your clutch to make sure it's fully actuating. Replacing the gear oil may help, depends on how worn the syncrhos are.

no sensors in a manual trans have anything to do with it's operation, how well it shifts, etc... there are no electrical components to the shifting - that's why it's called a "manual" transmission.

the only wires coming from a manual transmission are the gear position sensor (turns on the reverse lights basically) and the speed sensor.
